Bali's BEST Infinity Pool Villa: 4BR Luxury Escape (Private!) - My (Messy, Honest, and Utterly Blissful) Review

Alright, deep breaths. Here we are, finally ready to talk about the Bali villa. The one that practically oozed luxury, sun-kissed skin, and a potent cocktail of zen and…well, okay, a little bit of impulsive cocktail-fueled pool hopping at 3 am. This is my (very opinionated) review of the 4BR Luxury Escape (Private!) and trust me, I’m not holding back. This place claims to be Bali’s best. Did it live up to the hype? Let's dive in, shall we?

First Impressions & "Am I Dreaming???" Moment:

Picture this: you’re exhausted from the flight, slightly crumpled, and desperately craving a shower. Suddenly, you're being whisked away from the airport (thanks to the airport transfer – a MUST-HAVE after that long haul; Getting Around nailed it) in a sleek, air-conditioned car. The drive is beautiful, winding through lush rice paddies. Then, bam. You arrive. The gates open. And as you take your first step onto the property…the feeling that washed over me? Pure, unadulterated, “Holy guacamole, am I REALLY here?”

The villa itself? Breathtaking. Seriously. The Swimming Pool [outdoor], that majestic, infinity-edge beauty, practically screams "luxury." The photos online? They don’t do it justice. The view? Unbelievable, especially as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in fiery hues. The initial feeling was a potent mix of awe, excitement, and a little bit of "how am I ever going to leave?" (Spoiler alert: I didn’t want to.)

Accessibility (or, the "Oops, Spilled My Bintang" Moment):

Alright, let's get real. I’m not going to pretend to be an expert on wheelchair accessibility. While the villa offered Facilities for disabled guests, I couldn’t specifically assess the full spectrum of needs. However, I did notice elevators (yes, Elevator!), and the general layout seemed spacious and open, which is a great starting point.

On-site Restaurants, Lounges & the Quest for the Perfect Sunset Cocktail:

Okay, so this is one area where I feel like I could have gotten more from the villa. While the "private" aspect is amazing, it somewhat limits your access to a bustling restaurant scene. There’s a Poolside bar, which I absolutely loved (more on that later), offering a decent selection of cocktails and snacks. Then you got a full house when it comes to eating: A la carte in restaurant, Alternative meal arrangement, Asian breakfast, Asian cuisine in restaurant, Bar, Bottle of water, Breakfast [buffet], Breakfast service, Buffet in restaurant, Coffee/tea in restaurant, Coffee shop, Desserts in restaurant, Happy hour, International cuisine in restaurant, Poolside bar, Restaurants, Room service [24-hour], Salad in restaurant, Snack bar, Soup in restaurant, Vegetarian restaurant, Western breakfast, Western cuisine in restaurant.

But sometimes, you want more than just the villa. So, there's Room Service [24-hour] which is fantastic, but I craved a more vibrant atmosphere, a place to watch the sun dip into the sea with a margarita in hand. And trust me that margarita was something and I think it could be improved. It wasn’t a huge deal, but I did wish for a bit more variety in the on-site dining options. Maybe a dedicated sunset viewing lounge? Just a thought!

The "Relax & Rejuvenate" Report – From Body Scrubs to Steamrooms:

This is where the villa absolutely shined. This is where the whole trip made sense.

  • Spa/sauna: No need of leaving the complex when it comes to wellness.
  • Sauna: The perfect compliment for a spa.
  • Spa: The best of them all. You could be there forever.
  • Steamroom: Perfect for your relaxation.
  • Body scrub & Body wrap: The best way of starting your day as a king or queen.
  • Foot bath: The perfect finish to your days.
  • Massage: What's better than a massage, after a massage? Another massage.
  • Pool with view: That infinity edge is just magic

I spent an embarrassing amount of time (and money, honestly) at the spa. The Massage was heavenly (I may have fallen asleep…multiple times). They offer Body scrub and Body wrap, which left me feeling utterly, ridiculously, smooth. The Sauna and Steamroom? Pure bliss. And the Pool with view…well, you already know about that. Let's just say I spent a considerable amount of time floating there, contemplating the meaning of life (while sipping a Bintang, of course…).

Cleanliness, Safety & (the Slightly Paranoid Me's) Peace of Mind:

Cleanliness and safety: Top tier, definitely. I might be paranoid, but I'm also the one reading hotel reviews before booking.

  • Anti-viral cleaning products: a must, of course.
  • Breakfast takeaway service: Perfect for those late-night cravings.
  • Cashless payment service: So easy, especially with the constant money in my pocket.
  • Daily disinfection in common areas: You can feel that this is on point.
  • Doctor/nurse on call: Always smart to have.
  • First aid kit: You know, in case.
  • Hand sanitizer: It's everywhere.
  • Hot water linen and laundry washing: Great for the whites.
  • Hygiene certification: Very appreciated.
  • Individually-wrapped food options: Good for eating in your room.
  • Physical distancing of at least 1 meter: Feels safe.
  • Professional-grade sanitizing services: Always good to have.
  • Room sanitization opt-out available: You can always cancel it.
  • Rooms sanitized between stays: A must.
  • Safe dining setup: It's not just a great restaurant.
  • Sanitized kitchen and tableware items: Clean all the time.
  • Shared stationery removed: Nice
  • Staff trained in safety protocol: They knew what to do.
  • Sterilizing equipment: Perfect for this time.

The villa felt spotless. The staff clearly took cleanliness seriously, which was a huge comfort, especially during this whole gestures vaguely at the world pandemic situation. The Rooms sanitized between stays, the abundance of Hand sanitizer, and the Staff trained in safety protocol all contributed to making me feel safe and protected. I'm a fan of all of it.

The "Stuff You NEED to Know" – Rooms, Internet & Creature Comforts:

Okay, let's get technical. The Available in all rooms section is long: Additional toilet, Air conditioning, Alarm clock, Bathrobes, Bathroom phone, Bathtub, Blackout curtains, Carpeting, Closet, Coffee/tea maker, Complimentary tea, Daily housekeeping, Desk, Extra long bed, Free bottled water, Hair dryer, High floor, In-room safe box, Interconnecting room(s) available, Internet access – LAN, Internet access – wireless, Ironing facilities, Laptop workspace, Linens, Mini bar, Mirror, Non-smoking, On-demand movies, Private bathroom, Reading light, Refrigerator, Safety/security feature, Satellite/cable channels, Scale, Seating area, Separate shower/bathtub, Shower, Slippers, Smoke detector, Socket near the bed, Sofa, Soundproofing, Telephone, Toiletries, Towels, Umbrella, Visual alarm, Wake-up service, Wi-Fi [free], Window that opens.

The Rooms themselves were spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably maintained. My room had a massive, incredibly comfortable bed (the Extra long bed was a lifesaver!), a luxurious bathroom with a Separate shower/bathtub, and a private balcony overlooking…you guessed it…the pool. Each room has Internet access – wireless and Wi-Fi [free] (thank the heavens!). Good desk, Coffee/tea maker, Refrigerator, Air conditioning, Hair dryer, the works. You've got all you need here. The Internet was…variable. Fast when it worked, frustratingly slow at times. I would prefer LAN sometimes. But, let's be honest, I probably spent too much time glued to the pool anyway.

Dining, Drinking & Snacking – The Culinary Adventures (and a few hiccups):

Dining, drinking, and snacking: This is where it all begins!

  • A la carte in restaurant, Alternative meal arrangement, Asian breakfast, Asian cuisine in restaurant, Bar, Bottle of water, Breakfast [buffet], Breakfast service, Buffet in restaurant, Coffee/tea in restaurant, Coffee shop, Desserts in restaurant, Happy hour, International cuisine in restaurant, Poolside bar, Restaurants, Room service [24-hour], Salad in restaurant, Snack bar, Soup in restaurant, Vegetarian restaurant, Western breakfast, Western cuisine in restaurant.

Foodwise, there's a lot to love. I indulged in the **Breakfast [

Okay, buckle up buttercup, 'cause this isn't your cookie-cutter itinerary. We’re diving headfirst into the chaos of the Infinity 4 BR Private Pool #L62 in Indonesia. Forget the pristine brochure promises, this is REAL. Prepare for spills, thrills, and probably some serious sunburn. Here we go…

Day 1: Arrival – Paradise Found (Maybe… and Then a Little Panic)

  • Morning (ish): Ugh, the flight. Let's just say I'm pretty sure I've permanently fused myself to the airplane seat. Arrived at the airport, and the customs agent gives me the look – you know, the one that says, "Please don't be trouble." (I’m already regretting wearing my "World's Okayest Traveler" t-shirt. It isn’t helping.) Finally, out! Picked up by a driver (thank GOD, because I'd have probably just collapsed in a heap of jet lag and despair by now). The drive feels like a slow-motion movie, lush green everywhere, fragrant air… and the INCREDIBLE sounds of the island. My brain feels a little bit fried but, also, so energized.
  • Afternoon: Arrived at the villa. Infinity 4 BR Private Pool #L62. Cue jaw drop. Okay, maybe not exactly the jaw drop, more like a wide-eyed, "Holy crap, where do I even start?" The pictures don't do the pool justice. It's… well, it's infinity-pool-y. And huge. Gorgeous, and, also, a little bit intimidating because MY SWIM SKILLS ARE MEDIOCRE AT BEST. Unpacked (mostly, the underwear pile is still a mystery) and immediately attempted to locate the nearest source of caffeine. Success! Turns out this place has a full-blown espresso machine, and it’s heaven.
  • Evening: The first plunge. Into the pool. Oh. My. God. This is life. Sipping something fruity, watching the sunset paint the sky in fiery hues. Maybe, just maybe, this won’t be a complete logistical disaster. Then, disaster strikes. Ordered dinner which looks and sounds amazing. It’s almost perfect… Until a rogue mosquito the size of a small bird descends upon me. And it bit me. And the itching… oh god, the itching. I'm officially declaring war on the local mosquito population. Followed that up with a panic-induced search for insect repellent, which, of course, I’d forgotten to pack. Thankfully the Villa had some. Phew. Maybe, after all, this is paradise.

Day 2: Beach Bliss and a Battle with a Bintang

  • Morning: Breakfast overlooking the pool. Avocado toast (because, duh), strong coffee, and a mental pep talk: “Don't be a tourist stereotype. Be cool. Be chill.” I think I failed miserably.
  • Afternoon: FINALLY made it to the beach. And I mean beach. Golden sand, turquoise water, endless sunshine. Took a swim in the ocean: salty and revitalizing. Spent two hours wandering in the sand: This place is so beautiful, it’s almost unreal. It’s also HOT, which is why I ended up buying a straw hat from a lady selling hats. I have never been so happy to buy a straw hat in my life. Also, got completely and utterly sand covered.
  • Evening: Bintang time. (Bintang is the local beer, by the way. It’s a crucial part of the Indonesian experience, I’ve heard.) Sat at a beachside warung (small restaurant, for those of you not conversant in local lingo). The beer was cold, the sunset was gorgeous. It should have been perfect. Then, I spilled half my beer on myself. Twice. (Hey, I said this would be messy!) The second time I had to laugh. Life, right? Finished it with a grilled seafood and this spicy chili sauce. My mouth is still burning, but hey, it was AMAZING.

Day 3: Temples, Traffic, and a Totally Unnecessary Hike

  • Morning: Decided to be cultured and visit a temple. (Because one can't just sit around the pool all day, can one?) This one was the famous Uluwatu temple, clinging to a cliffside. The view was spectacular. The monkeys, however, were not. They are master thieves, these monkeys. I saw a woman lose her sunglasses, a little boy get his hat stolen. Almost lost my phone. It was tense. I now fear monkeys.
  • Afternoon: The traffic. Oh god, the traffic. It’s a glorious, chaotic ballet of motorbikes, cars, and the occasional bewildered chicken. It probably took us three hours to go a distance that could be walked in thirty minutes. We got stuck behind a truck carrying COCONUTS. (The irony of being delayed by coconuts wasn’t lost on me.) I was losing my mind.
  • Evening: Thought it was a good idea to do a hike. It wasn’t. It was supposed to be a “gentle walk,” but I ended up clinging to some overgrown, rocky path thinking I was going to die. The view was pretty though, in a “I’m-terrified-but-I-appreciate-the-scenery” kind of way. Got back to the villa, had a long, hot shower, and promptly collapsed in bed. Ordered pizza. I need comfort food.

Day 4: Cooking Class and Coconut Dreams

  • Morning: Cooking class! Finally, something I can do. Or so I thought. Turns out Indonesian cuisine is delicious, but incredibly labor-intensive. Had to get up early and buy some ingredients, which, as a foreigner, turned into an adventure. Basically had to barter for my life. The class itself was fun. Laughing. Spilled a lot of things. Made Gado-Gado (a vegetable salad, pretty good, even if I say so myself), and Nasi Goreng (fried rice, also pretty good). The instructor was very patient with me. I'm pretty sure I kept messing up the same things over and over again. But it was awesome.
  • Afternoon: Pool time. I'm getting the hang of this pool thing. Practiced my freestyle stroke (mediocre still, but improving!). Lounged around reading a book. Drinking fresh coconut water straight from the coconut. Ah, now THIS is the life.
  • Evening: Ordered a massage to the villa. Best. Decision. Ever. Then, as is the pattern, ruined it by accidentally knocking over a glass of water. (Hey, it's the little things). Ate way too much food, watched the stars, and finally felt that glorious wave of complete relaxation.

Day 5: Farewell and Future Flights

  • Morning: Woke up, feeling more alive than I have in years. The air smells different. I’m sad to leave. Packed my bags (mostly). One last breakfast overlooking the pool. Took one last, lingering look at the pool, trying to memorize the feeling of pure bliss.
  • Afternoon: Goodbye to the staff and the villa. They were amazing. The flight back… well, let’s just say I’m already planning my return, even if I have to be kidnapped and forced onto the plane.
  • Evening: Getting ready back home. Planning flights and other vacations. Thinking how much I’m in love with Indonesia. And, most importantly, dreaming of that infinity pool, the ocean, the sunset… Indonesia, you were everything, and, also a little bit chaotic. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. Next time, I will try not to spill beer on myself. Probably.

This, my friends, is the raw, unfiltered truth of my Indonesian adventure. Hope you enjoyed it.

Bali's BEST Infinity Pool Villa: 4BR Luxury Escape (Private!) - FAQs (The Raw & Real Edition)

Okay, so is this place REALLY as amazing as it looks in *those* photos? Spill the tea!

Alright, alright, let's get REAL. The photos? Yeah, they’re ridiculously good. That infinity pool, stretching into the rice paddies? Gorgeous. Can I 100% guarantee your Instagram feed will explode with likes? Probably. But here’s the thing… Bali is a *vibe*. And this villa? It's a BIG vibe.

The first time I saw it, I nearly face-planted into the pool. Seriously! We arrived after a red-eye, brain fuzzy, and BAM! That view hit me like a shot of espresso. My jaw actually dropped. My friend, Sarah (the one who “hates” luxury), was speechless. Then she promptly tripped on a stray frangipani flower, proving even paradise has its little imperfections. And that's the beauty of it! It's real, not just a glossy brochure.

So, yes. It's pretty damn amazing. But be prepared for the Bali magic - the occasional gecko, the gentle hum of the cicadas, the slightly questionable Wi-Fi in one of the bedrooms (more on that later... grumble grumble).

The INFINITY POOL. Is it... actually good, or just for show? Because I'm a pool snob.

Pool snob, eh? *I like your style.* Let me tell you about the pool. It's not just good. It's transcendental. Seriously. I spent, and I'm not exaggerating, at least FOUR HOURS a day in that pool. Floating, staring at the rice paddies, pretending I was a Bond villain (without the evil scheming, obviously).

The temperature was perfect (this is key!), the water crystal clear, and the feeling of swimming towards the horizon was mind-blowing. One morning, as the sun was coming up, I saw a family of ducks waddling through the rice fields and it was…well, it was perfect. I actually shed a small tear. Don’t judge me!

Now, a small word of warning for the pool snobs. They do occasionally have to clean it, so there are people coming and going on one side from dawn till dusk. So, no swimming naked at all. But trust me, its worth it.

Tell me about the food! Do I have to cook? (Please say NO.)

NO! You absolutely do NOT have to cook. Unless you *want* to, which is, frankly, insane when in Bali! They have a chef. A REAL chef. And this chef, bless their heart, is a MASTER of Balinese cuisine (and Western dishes, too, if that's your jam).

Breakfast is included. Glorious, fruit-laden, pancake-filled breakfasts. I’m still dreaming about the banana pancakes. And the juice...OMG the juice. They make fresh juice every single morning, everything from pineapple to mango to dragon fruit. I basically lived on juice for the first three days. I think my skin took on a permanent tropical glow.

You can order lunch and dinner. Trust me, order the dinner. Especially the seafood. One night, after we'd had a few Bintangs, we convinced the chef to teach us how to make some of the sauces. (Spoiler alert: we failed miserably). But the food? Amazing. And the best part? Everything is cooked fresh, using local ingredients. Basically heaven on a plate. My waist line isn’t happy, though.

Okay, the staff. Are they just… there? Or are they ACTUALLY helpful? I hate feeling like I’m intruding.

Here's how it works: the staff are AMAZING. They're not just "there". They're like friendly, helpful ninjas! They're attentive without being intrusive. They anticipate your needs before you even know you have them.

Seriously, one day I misplaced my sunglasses (apparently I'd left them by the pool...). Three minutes later, a staff member popped up with them, with a huge smile. Another time I lost my phone (I’m a disaster). They found it so quickly, I thought they had magical powers.

They’ll help you arrange transport, book excursions, give you insider tips on the best warungs (local restaurants). They are also so, so kind. You’ll probably find yourself wanting to adopt them and take them home with you (I almost did!). Don't be shy to tip, they deserve it!

4 Bedrooms! Is it good for a group? Or is it all about the couples?

This villa is a DREAM for a group. It's perfect for a family reunion, a friend getaway, or even a slightly chaotic bachelorette party (speaking from...experience). There’s plenty of space, both indoors and out, so you don’t feel cramped.

I went with a group of friends, and we all had our own space. We had our communal moments, like boozy brunches by the pool and late-night chats under the stars. But also, privacy when we wanted it. No one would get the cold shoulder from anyone.

Yes, a couple's retreat would be divine if you are romantic; you can't beat a romantic getaway at such a place. There is plenty of room for each of the couples to have their own space.

What if I need to work remotely? (Ugh, I know, but *some* of us have to...)

Okay, so… the Wi-Fi. It's… Bali Wi-Fi. Let's just say it has its moments. In the main living area and most bedrooms, it's generally decent. Enough for emails, video calls (sometimes), and definitely for streaming movies (at least, that's what *I* did...).

One of the bedrooms, however... It was like the Bermuda Triangle for internet signals. You MIGHT get a flicker of connectivity. Don't plan on hosting a Zoom meeting from there. Or maybe you can, but you better be ready to tell some great jokes when the call drops.

My advice? Embrace the slow pace sometimes. Take it as an opportunity to disconnect and actually *enjoy* being in Bali. Or, bring a portable hotspot and be prepared to tether if you really need to. But for the love of all that is holy, don't spend your entire trip glued to your laptop!

Anything I *didn't* love? Be honest!
